What to expect

From your scan to a session — exactly what to expect.

Five steps from your report to a live walkthrough. I personally review every case before payment — so if your case isn't a fit, you'll know before you've spent anything.

Five steps

From your report to a live walkthrough.

  1. Start your review

    About 5 minutes

A short three-step intake so I know what report you'd like explained, what you're hoping for, and how to reach you.

    • No upload yet, no payment yet.
    • Three short steps: about your scan, what you're hoping for, and your contact details.
    • If your case isn't a fit for the service, you'll know after you submit — and you won't be charged.
  2. Upload your report

    After your case is accepted

Once I confirm fit, you'll receive an email with secure upload instructions for your report — and your images, if your case calls for the Report + Images format.

    • Reports are encrypted in transit and at rest.
    • Image access can be a DICOM ZIP from the imaging facility or a study-share link from a hospital portal.
    • I'll confirm your image access is usable before scheduling — so the live session stays focused on explanation, not logistics.
  3. I review your case personally

    Typically 1–3 days

I review every case myself to confirm the right format, that your image access is usable, and that the case is a good fit for what this service can do.

    • You'll hear back via email with the outcome.
    • If anything in your case suggests urgent attention, I'll redirect you to the right resource at no charge.
    • If the case is a fit but the format needs to change, I'll explain why before any payment is requested.
  4. Pay and pick a time

    Same day as acceptance

After review, you complete payment and choose a session time from the next available slots.

    • Payment happens only after I've personally accepted your case.
    • Bringing a caregiver? You'll authorize their participation at this step.
    • Need a different time later? Reschedule any time before the session — no questions, no fees.
  5. Join the live walkthrough

A focused educational session over video. We work through your report together — and your images, when applicable — with room for your questions.

    • Live, 1-on-1 with the radiologist. Not a recording or a chatbot.
    • Structured around your specific report rather than a generic explainer.
    • A short written recap follows the session.

What you walk away with

Three things, every time.

A clearer understanding of your report

The wording, the terminology, and the structure — read aloud with you and explained in plain language. The questions you've been carrying about it, answered.

A short written recap

After the session, you receive a brief educational summary of what we discussed and questions worth bringing to your treating clinician. Yours to keep and share.

Anatomy orientation, when applicable

For Report + Images sessions, you leave with a sense of what the report's words refer to in the actual imaging — so the language finally connects to what you can see.

Common questions

What people ask before starting.

What if my case is declined at review?

You won't be charged anything. I'll explain why the case isn't a fit and, where useful, point you toward the kind of resource that would actually help.

What if my images aren't usable?

I'll tell you before any payment is processed. We can switch your case to a Report-Only session, hold while you obtain better access, or decline if it's no longer a fit — refunded in full either way.

How quickly can I get a session?

Case review typically takes 1–3 days. Once accepted, scheduling depends on availability — most cases find a slot within the same week.

Can I reschedule?

Yes. Any time before your session, no questions and no fees. See the full set of operational promises on the Our Promise page.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Full refund if you cancel before your session is completed. The same applies if I need to cancel for any reason.

Scope of the service

What this is — and what it isn't.

What this is

A radiologist walks you through the wording of your existing report in plain language and, when image access is available, orients you to the anatomy the report describes.

What this isn't

A second opinion, a new interpretation of the scan, a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or urgent or emergency guidance. Your treating clinicians remain responsible for diagnosis and care.

If you need urgent help, contact your treating clinician or local emergency services.

Educational only — not a diagnosis, second opinion, or substitute for medical care.
