The session itself
Your report, your questions, and the anatomy behind it.
A live, 1-on-1 video session built around your report. You'll receive a short written recap afterward to share with your treating clinician.
Your questions, answered
The session is a conversation, not a lecture. There's room for the questions you've been carrying — about your report, the terminology, or what to ask next.
Your report, read aloud with you
I read through your existing report with you, in plain language. Findings, impression, technique — what each section is for, what the words mean, and what the uncertainty language is doing.
A tour of the anatomy
When image access is available, I walk you through the regions your report describes — so the words finally connect to what you're looking at.

- I'm the only person who opens and reviews your materials.
- Never used for AI training, marketing, or anything outside your case.
Scope of the service
What this is — and what it isn't.
What this is
A radiologist walks you through the wording of your existing report in plain language and, when image access is available, orients you to the anatomy the report describes.
What this isn't
A second opinion, a new interpretation of the scan, a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or urgent or emergency guidance. Your treating clinicians remain responsible for diagnosis and care.
If you need urgent help, contact your treating clinician or local emergency services.
What you can count on
Four promises behind every booking.
If you're going to pay for time with a radiologist, here is what you should be able to count on.
No payment until I review your case
If your case isn't a fit, I'll tell you — and you won't be charged.
Free rescheduling, no caps
Reschedule any time before your session — no questions, no fees, no limits.
Refund requests, reviewed by me
Cancel before your session is finished and your refund request gets a personal response within 3–5 business days. Good-faith cancellations are refunded in full.
Satisfaction promise
If your session didn't deliver, write to me within 7 days. I'll personally review and respond — typically with a no-charge follow-up, a refund, or whatever combination makes sense.
From the radiologist
I built Scan Explained because I kept noticing the same gap: people receive reports written for other clinicians and are then left to translate them on their own. A short, careful walkthrough makes a real difference.
I personally review every session request and lead every walkthrough. The session is education — not a second opinion or treatment advice — but it's the kind of clear explanation I'd want a member of my own family to have access to.
